Whether it’s for a few hours, a day a week, a couple of days a month or helping at a one-off event, we’re really grateful for the hundreds of volunteers who share our passion for horses and champion our work locally.
By supporting our work in education, participation, safety, access, welfare and care, our volunteers help us to ensure that horses are respected, protected and enjoyed by knowledgeable caring people.
As a BHS volunteer you will:-
- meet like-minded local volunteers and make new friends
- learn new skills and enhance your CV
- receive full training for your role
- have help from other local volunteers
- be supported by our field based BHS team and our central Volunteer Support team
- be recognised for your achievements
- receive reimbursement for out of pocket expenses
