About us
Ingestre Stables was built in 1885 to house the polo horses and carriages for the Earl of Shrewsbury at Ingetsre Hall. Tim Downes and Rob Lovatt moved into the, then derelict, stable yard in 1983 and began to build the centre as it is now. Nearly 40 years later, we continue to provide the highest level of training for everyone from the beginner, the pleasure rider, to the equestrian professional. The only centre in the world with three resident Fellows of the BHS, Ingestre Stables has seen thousands of people from all over the world come to its idyllic countryside setting to better themselves and their knowledge in all aspects of equestrianism.
