Role & Salary/pay: Part Time Groom - NMW
Hours: Minimum 9 hours a week across three set afternoons. The ability to cover staff absence is advantageous. The role will include weekend working and occasional evening duties.
Job summary: Due to our successful expansion, RDA (Woodbridge & District Group) is looking for an additional part-time groom. We are a long-standing charity, celebrating our Ruby anniversary next year. We are proud to be an Approved BHS centre and hold a Five-Star Local Authority Licence. The post involves looking after the day-to-day horse, stable and field management which may include exercising the horses and clipping. Post-holders must therefore be hard-working, fit and healthy and willing to work in all weathers. A valid driving licence is a condition of employment, and you will require your own transport due to our rural location. An enhanced DBS certificate is also a condition of employment. Applicants must hold an equine qualification to a minimum of level 2 and/or have proven skills and work experience to this standard. Term: Fixed term for two years, which may be extended.
