Clwyd Special Riding Centre has an opening for one groom to join our equine team, either on a full-time or part-time basis.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, driven and experienced individual to work on a professional yard of c15 horses.
Clwyd Special Riding Centre (CSRC) is a registered charity that provides life-changing equine assisted therapy activities to children and adults with a wide range of disabilities and additional needs, including mental health and well-being. Equine assisted therapy is delivered through riding, carriage driving, hippotherapy (physio on horseback), mechanical horse sessions, and the BHS Changing Lives Through Horses programme.
Located in Llanfynydd, between Mold and Wrexham, North Wales; the Charity is an approved Riding for the Disabled (RDA) and British Horse Society (BHS) Centre.
The primary aim of the role is to help look after and prepare our horses for all our weekly activities at the Centre, and for on and off-site competitions. This includes the exercising and schooling of horses.
Salary at relevant National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage rate. Role to include some evening and weekend work. At least a Level 2 horse care and riding qualification or equivalent proven skills and experience.
